Bananas

My father always makes sure we have bananas available at home so I got used to eating at least one banana “finger” a day.

What are the common benefits of eating banana?
Bananas contain vitamin C, B6, and potassium. It is said that banana helps reduce the risk of colorectal cancer, breast cancer and renal cell carcinoma. If properly prepared, it can also help treat kidney stones and high blood pressure. It also contains folic acid wherein its naturally occurring form, Folate, helps prevent anemia during pregnancy and also prevent congenital malformation.

Banana also contains dietary fibers which aids in digestion and may be useful for people who want to lose weight the natural way.

There are other ways to use banana as beauty regimen or health supplement. But whether you’re pregnant or just trying to stay beautiful, banana should always be included in your daily diet.

REVIEW: Red is Marose

This is a blog review entry for Yuuki's Twin Blogversary Contest.

Red is Marose is Marose’ (or better known as redamethyst to her online friends) personal blog where she writes all about her “simple life in a world that rocks”.

Since it is a personal blog, the topics range from diet pills to blog memes. Just like any other personal blogs, it is about anything under the sun.

The layout is in a combination of red, gray and yellow with header picture of a girl with a guitar which is explained by its tagline “Simple Pero Rock”. It has 3 columns which houses the common elements in a blog in an orderly manner. The loading time is relatively fast which means you’ll easily find them.

More than anything else, what caught my attention was the “Novena to God’s Love” at the upper part of the sidebar which denotes that the author is a religious person and who would put God first before anything.

REVIEW: The Tsinay Writes

This is a blog review entry for Yuuki's Twin Blogversary Contest.

Sam is someone I know who will say what she thinks and this is where she put them. As the title suggests, The Tsinay Writes (The Not So Random Thoughts of a Not So Random Tsinay) is all about a Chinese-Filipina lady’s opinion on just about anything and in almost everything.

The layout is a combination of pastel pink (yay!) and green and if you look at the header picture, you’ll see a “tsinay” looking back at you. The layout was personally made by the author and it is neatly created that you’d think it was done by a professional web designer (and she claimed she didn’t have any formal training! That makes her a smart and very creative girl, right?). Sam is a member of several bloggers’ group which you can see neatly organized at the far right sidebar of her website. The fact that it only has limited number of advertisement made it load really fast which makes blog hopping a pleasant experience.

Pantene Pro-V Total Care

I just love Pantene's Total Care products. I have very long hair (sorry I don't have picture right now) and the ends tend to break. There was a certain product that I was scared of letting go because at that time it was the only thing that worked for me. Just recently, my mom bought Pantene Shampoo and Conditioner so I tried it and I'm really happy with the result - my hair is now much softer.

Just when I was about to give up, my camera started working *lol* So here's the conditioner I'm using and my hair after drying it without combing (seriously!):
